Striker or Creator

How often do your hear “it takes years to build and a few seconds to break down”

So do you strike down or do you create

do you put in your all for fear that it can just be broken down again

in one strike it can be broken

and all people remember is that last strike

So all the slaving for so long means what?

Nothing?

Painstaking for years you laid the foundation

built everything up

slowly

each step laying the foundation to go higher, beyond

and respect was earned

and rightfully gaining more

whatever was gotten was fought for with hard-earned work &  sweat

and formed the stepping stones to get to so much more

often not seen, often not praised in individuality

but dividends recognised

and then health gives way to a hair pin bend

is all lost

why fickleness seems to be the order of the day

why all else cannot be remembered when it is needed as my crutch

while time is used for recovery

the crutch seems to be crumbling

it’s not as strong as I thought

not enough to give me what I need

so now that the structure has crumbled

the foundation lays strong

so hopefully we can start building anew, afresh

stronger than ever before

I pray  …

Friend… change is the only constant in this world of ours. Change does not mean distruction… and that which does not change is destroyed due to its static nature. Remember the unbending oak tree can crack in the storm, but the willow tree which moves in the wind may survive.

Believe in yourself, believe in your family, and continue to build.

Peace and blessings to you from across the seas.

    • Building is always good. Definitely. Stagnation and being unbending is not an option for me, so yes building more is the way to go. Thank you Lady TJC for your kind words as always 🙂
