hard
strong

undefeated
standing the test of time
can support
shelter for many
foundation for others

weathered over time
by the elements of nature
WIND
RAIN
CRASHING WAVES

carved into works of art
beauty to be admired for eons to come

but there is constant battering
constant hammering away
grain by grain

it may take long, but does have an effect
and what crumbles can never be rebuilt

so lean on it when you need to
but remember it can also crumble into fine crumbs

then the uses is different for a rock no more
but sand and soil for another

or then need water
and make cement
but the rock as it was
will never again be
